Born in Chicago, raised in New York, I’ve worn a lot of hats. Originally studying at the Univerisity of Massachusetts at Amherst, I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Theater and Theater Design. My early creative works consisted of huge set pieces (think a 12-foot-tall marionette) and building circuits for PhD students. I’ve built barns by hand as a framing carpenter, manufactured my own car parts, engineered HVAC systems, and even designed set pieces for the Walt Disney Company.

My journey in photography didn’t begin until I started as a street photographer in London, England, where I decided to work my way into seedy clubs to capture street fashion and crazy nightlife. This eventually took over my free time while I spent two years between my own freelance engineering, a full-time job, and working as a creator on the side. I finally made the leap to be a creator full-time, and I haven’t looked back since.

It was those first few years on the streets that I fell in love with capturing dramatic and authentic moments, and developed this style of seeking out new adventures and people - all of which bleeds thrill-seeking into my professional work. Ad campaigns, brand building, product photography, studio work, weddings - everything I do showcases the excitement of real people.

I work great directing and shooting on my own - I often offer photography and videography services at the same time despite being a singular creator. Taking stills and video alongside each other is one of my biggest offers. But, one of the perks of wearing so many hats - on sets and crews as a director or assistant, my highest priorities are communication and comfortability of everyone involved. Studio sessions, advertising campaigns, wedding days, events - should all be fun whether you’re in front or behind the camera.
